Marlee has worked with the WCDC since 2013. Initially serving as a petition circulator for the first liquor license referendum, Marlee was hired as the WCDC’s first communications and outreach coordinator in 2014 and worked in that role for five years. At the WCDC, she helped to create and grow programs to support small businesses, engage residents, promote Wilkinsburg regionally and nationally, and raise critical funds to further our mission. Marlee previously served on the Wilkinsburg Art Commission, Wilkinsburg Shade Tree Committee, Mayor Garrett’s Community Conversations planning committee, and as a founding board member of Free Store Wilkinsburg. She returned to the WCDC full-time in 2021 as Director of Economic Development to support all aspects of the WCDC’s mission and work.
